MY STORY

HEY THERE!
thanks for taking the time to read my story.

I live in Texas with my hubby and two little ones.
Jae and I both work in the medical field, in fact that is how we met. He was the resident pediatrician on my unit one night and a quick Grey's Anatomy episode later, we were engaged. But really though, I love being a pediatric nurse, I get the privilege of being the hands and feet of my Father and Creator.
When I was thirteen I asked for crochet lessons for Christmas and have been hooked [pun intended] ever since. I have always loved anything creative: decorating, design, styling, fashion, really anything aesthetic. I would spill over magazines as a child, and then Pinterest happened.. game over.

I wanted to combine my two joys of creating and loving people, which is why 10% of all profits will go toward an orphanage near and dear to my heart, Casa Hogar Elim.
Please say hello! I would love to get to know you and hear your story.

THEIR STORY
Casa Hogar Elim Orphanage is located in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. The orphanage was started by a woman named Mama Lupita, and is home to 80+ children. Each child has a unique story. Some were rescued from difficult circumstances, some have parents who cannot care for them, and others' parents have passed away. Though their stories may all differ, they are all in need of love and care both physically and spiritually.
I have been serving at Casa Hogar Elim almost monthly since 2013, and have grown to love these children as my own. The orphanage has limited access to healthcare as there are many children to care for and not enough resources. Most of the children are relatively healthy and only in need of standard vaccinations and yearly well child checks. However, there have been cases where a child really needed to see a doctor and was not taken or a few who struggle with chronic health issues and are not followed by a pediatrician.

My husband is a pediatrician and I am a pediatric nurse. Together we plan to provide standard healthcare and yearly well child checks for all of the children living at Casa Hogar Elim. Through your purchases my husband and I are able to supply and deliver medical care to each child.
